What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format that sends you updates when web pages change or have new content. Blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video can be included in RSS feeds delivered directly to your email, computer's desktop, or into your browser, rather than having to visit each website. How do I use RSS?
You can receive regular updates through an RSS reader. You can find a list of RSS readers here.
In addition to dedicated RSS readers, many email programs (such as Outlook) allow you to receive RSS feeds right in your email. Some desktop applications for Windows, Mac or Linux—and mobile devices—can deliver the updates to your computer or smartphone.
